I believe it's worth taking risks to stand out from the crowd when going for what you want...
I don't think it matters whether it's when you're applying for a new job, presenting to VC's, trying to sell more of your product or services, auditioning for a role, or dating... Take a risk.
I can probably assume you're not on the witness protection program, and what you want to achieve isn't illegal or harmful to others, and it's in synch with who you are as a human being. I'll assume the same for the risks you take and that those risks are in synch with what you want to achieve.
Taking risk is a commitment which can be seen.
Taking risk shows passion and desire which can be felt.
Taking risk will expose more of who and what you are as a person.
Taking risk will have an impact for better or worse... be prepared for both.
If you're true to yourself and your goal, taking the risk to stand out from will be worthwhile, whatever the outcome.
