I can see a future where as technology continues to touch our lives and drive our interactions, and "talk to us" in so many places, that it continues to reduce the time available to have real conversations... in person... eye-to-eye. When something is really important and you need to connect with someone.... do you want an IM, a virtual hug from your LinkedIn group, comments on your FB page, 140 characters, or even a skype call? I want eye contact, facial recognition, emotional response/exchange not yet perfected through technologically.
Future generations will pay the price for losing their ability to have a real conversation... a premium to pay someone to have the conversation on their behalf... a premium to have someone truly listen...
Who truly listens to you and who do you truly listen to... so well that it feels like love? When is the last time you had a great conversation? Make a point to have one... I'm on my way to have one now.
